Disaster Recovery System (DRS):
DRS
is offered for clients that
operate a local area network (‘LAN’) using their own in-house server. DRS
synchronizes the AOS data directory residing on the LAN’s application server to
data directories on powerful servers in Advanced Ortho’s Los Angeles-based
datacenter. The synchronization uses 128-bit encryption for security and, in
case of emergency, the data is immediately available to any authorized person
with the required authentication credentials and logon parameters.
DRS offers LAN operators the following benefits:

backups by the office staff;

In the case of disaster,
patient data is accessible 24X7 from anywhere in the world using nothing
more than a PC and an Internet connection; and
