NEWS RELEASE July 1, 2002 CPI Technologies Corporation Announces New Affiliate Palmdale, California - July 1, 2002 - CPI Technologies Corporation (CPI) of Palmdale, CA announced today that a new affiliate, Advanced Ortho Systems, LLC, would now market and support its Windows XP-based orthodontic software, Program Director. CPI is the only company, worldwide, to offer wholly integrated clinical, information, and management systems, capable of paperless operation, for all the healthcare specialties and for dental & medical colleges. Any grouping of the company's programs can be combined into a single system to operate multi specialty practices and clinics. "Because orthodontic software is CPI's core product (the other programs are derivatives), we decided to create a company dedicated solely to serving that profession. Our dental subsidiary will continue to market the other dental specialty programs," says Charles A. Lewis, CPI's chairman and chief executive officer. Prior to offering Program Director to the entire orthodontic market, CPI sought to firmly establish Program Director's stability. To achieve that objective, for almost three years the program was used to operate selected busy, integrated, and paperless orthodontic practices. The dental college version has been used to operate the University of Florida's College of Dentistry and its various clinics, for over two years. During the entire 3-year period, Program Director never experienced a software-induced system crash or incident of data corruption. Advanced Ortho Systems will market and support Program Director from its Palmdale, California-based headquarters.
NEWS RELEASE January 2, 2003 Advanced Ortho Systems Announces Beginning of ASP Operations Palmdale, California - January 2, 2003 - Advanced Ortho Systems, LLC, Palmdale, CA, a supplier of orthodontic clinical / information / management software called Program Director, announces that it is now providing Application Service Provider ('ASP') services for orthodontists. Advanced Ortho is the first company to operate a state-of-the-art datacenter to supply full-functioning orthodontic software via the Internet. The same comprehensive version of Program Director used in local area networks (not a reduced-feature web version) is provided to clients over the Internet. The company calls this service Internet Program Delivery ('IPD') and it fully complies with the patient information confidentiality safeguards required under HIPAA. Advanced Ortho reports that IPD is the ideal solution for operating multiple practice locations, as all workstations connected to the central server are using the same data, in real time, no matter where they log on from.
"The rapidly growing
trend of replacing paper patient records with electronic records is
leading to improved functionality for health care providers. As doctors
phase their practices into increasingly paperless operations, having easy,
instant, around the clock access to the electronic records becomes more
vital. Equally important is the effortless transmission, exchange,
collation and aggregation of electronic records from multiple sources. Our
company's new IPD service now makes all of this possible for
orthodontists,"
says Charles A. Lewis, Advanced Ortho's chairman and chief executive officer.

Advanced Ortho Systems Relocates Datacenter
The new state-of-the-art datacenter is strategically located at the hub of Internet connectivity and telecommunications for the entire West Coast. It offers the Company's Internet Program Delivery ('IPD') clients the ultimate in data security, systems redundancy, and fast broadband connectivity. Completely scalable, the facility cannot be ‘outgrown.’ · Security. Onsite personnel provide around the clock security; security cameras are located throughout the datacenter and monitored 24x7. Entry requires a pass with photo and admittance is only possible through secure gates; all visitors are escorted by authorized personnel. · Protection from natural disaster. The datacenter is seismically designed to withstand an 8.3 magnitude earthquake. · Fire suppression. The datacenter's multi-zoned, dry-pipe fire suppression system is activated via under-floor and overhead smoke detectors; it is also monitored by onsite personnel 24x7. If two or more zones have been activated, the pipes fill with water. Redundancy. Power. The datacenter is on a preferred service grid of the Los Angeles DWP that only supplies one other building; a second power grid offers redundancy. In the unlikely event of a DWP power outage, the first emergency backup consists of five battery-powered 560 KVA, 2 MW Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS). Three modules are on line; two sit idle for redundancy. The UPS system supplies uninterrupted power until the second emergency backup, 5 diesel generators, automatically kick in. The 90,000 gallons of onsite fuel for the generators enables them to provide power for up to 30 days. Broadband connectivity. Advanced Ortho's servers are connected, concurrently, to three of the world’s largest, most reliable bandwidth providers (Level 3, UUNET & Global Crossing) with on-demand speeds up to 40gbps available. In the unlikely event that one provider’s bandwidth goes down, the other two providers ensure that our systems can continue to operate. Peering relationships with these providers also allow the routers to automatically route traffic by the shortest possible paths to the user destination. Fiber optics. All fiber optic cabling in the datacenter is redundantly wired.
For three years,
Advanced Ortho has been the only company, worldwide, supplying patient
data and full-functioning
orthodontic
clinical / information / management software via the Internet from a
datacenter. The company’s new facility is equipped to fulfill the
growing online demands of its
global clients.

Alpha Testing Begins on Program Director 2006 Program Director 2006 expands upon the success of Program Director 2004 in almost every area, with special emphasis on increasing the user's ability to easily 'customize' the software to the way their practice operates. Although Program Director 2006 has the capability to handle every function required in an orthodontic practice, users will be able to 'turn off' features that they do not use to prevent them from even being visible. A second major area of enhancement is permitting the system administrator in the office to have total control of what information each staff member can access in the program. With the increasing trend in conversion to electronic health records, it is vital to be able to restrict access to Protected Health Information only to staff members with a need to see that data. However, to be functionally efficient, some screens contain both protected and general data. For that reason, Program Director 2006 allows the system administrator to control the access for each staff member down to the 'field' area of the screen. Like the current version of the software, Program Director 2006 can be operated via Internet Program Delivery from the company's Los Angeles-based datacenter, or on a server operating a local area network in the orthodontic office. Advanced Ortho plans to release the new version of Program Director in the Spring of 2006.

Advanced Ortho Systems Introduces Live Internet-Based
Training Internet Training Delivery ('ITD') was designed to complement Advanced Ortho's Internet Program Delivery ('IPD'), the industry's only proven system for supplying patient data and full-functioning, fully-integrated, clinical / information / management software from a high-tech datacenter. ITD allows Advanced Ortho to provide live training sessions, with full visual and audio, from its California-based headquarters to Program Director users around the world. According to the Company, the advantages of ITD are almost overwhelming. Practices using IPD tend to be very large paperless operations with lots of workstations and multiple office locations, so the logistics of training the entire staff are often difficult. With ITD, each staff member can be trained at their own workstation, wherever it is located, avoiding the need to assemble the staff in a single location. Additionally, a single trainer can simultaneously train an unlimited number of practices and/or staff members. In addition to ITD's efficiency, Advanced Ortho believes that its cost effectiveness will really please orthodontists. By eliminating the distractions normally encountered during onsite sessions and being able to stick to the curriculum, the amount of required training is reduced by as much as 20%. With ITD, orthodontists also avoid incurring travel and living expenses for the trainer. Onsite training is still available for clients who prefer that training method.

NEWS RELEASE Journal of Clinical
Orthodontics Article Extols Software's Treatment Charts In introducing the article, JCO Technology Editor W. Ronald Redmond, DDS, MS included these remarks: "Today, Advanced Ortho Systems is ideally positioned to provide treatment chart options because it is one of the few true 'online' orthodontic management systems. There are no servers within the orthodontic practice; all the orthodontist needs is a reliable Internet connection and a contract with AOS. The company can easily customize your programs, including your choice of charting systems, because the software resides not in your office, but on remote 'server farms'." "The advantage of Advanced Ortho Systems software is that it lets you customize your data-entry screens. When my practice converted to this program in 2003, we designed an Invisalign * treatment chart, as well as a customized fixed appliance chart, treatment plan screen, exam chart, and dental findings page, to name only a few." says author Dr. Mark J. Perelmuter of Louisville, Kentucky. ** "An even more important feature is that when our appointment codes and other tracking information are entered into one treatment chart, they are automatically integrated into the other screens. This is especially helpful in cases with both fixed appliance and Invisalign phases." Advanced Ortho Systems provides paperless-capable, Internet-based systems from its Los Angeles-based datacenter. * Invisalign is a product of Align Technologies, 881 Martin Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95050 ** Dr. Perelmuter was the first orthodontist in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to use the Invisalign system and is one of the top 50 nationally for number of Invisalign patients being treated. He is a member of the Alpha Group and Speakers bureau for Invisalign with access to the latest developments and lectures nationally.
